conveniently omits a pretty fundamental part of the law: the
constitutions of the United States Of America and the Great State
of California.
Somehow I suspect that is not naiveté or ignorance on your part,
but pandering to fear and hate.
At one time, it appeared to be legal in this country to own
slaves. To force people of a certain skin color to come in the
back door, to drink from restricted water fountains and to attend
clearly inferior schools. To deprive a minority of people based
simply on other people's fear, ignorance and comfort level.
Plenty of self important bigots stood up and pontificated about
the "law" then too.
You put yourself into their company, Mr. Swank. I hope you are
proud of yourself and deeply comfortable with your pompous
majority centered attitude that not only doesn't blink when a
minority is being deprived of basic human rights and dignity,
but indeed, celebrates it happening. Deplorable, insecure, self
promoting people like you always lead the cheers!

PS: No aware person could disagree that what is happening in
San Francisco is impolitic, but that's part of the point isn't it?
